IF ONLY SHE KNEW.

The dilemma of a girl child, love, tears and fear.

Peom by Bennett chijioke.

IF ONLY SHE KNEW.

That her mother’s scold
Is an act of love
That the pains she gets
Is her gain to fetch
That the tears you bear
Is the pain she fear
But she never knew
Cause the pain is much.

If only she knew
That the father’s love
Is the same with the mother
That the distance not covered
Is a pain under covered
That every time spent together
Has a lot to tender
But she never knew
Cause the distance is much.

If only she knew
That family isn’t blood alone
But love
That most friends are close
But most are foe
That sister is by chance
And friends by choice
That family offers
Both love and blood
But she never knew
Cause the love is disguised.

If only she knew
That lustful love of a play boy
Is for his personal gain alone
That his love and words said to her
Are the same said to another
That the love rushed
Is her emotions crushed
But she never knew
Cause the lust is tough.
