No Man Is Over Successful.
The quest for success can not be pined to any particular extent. One can not boldly say that he or she is successful. Our contemporary society view sucess to be the amount of money one has. Using this check mate, you will agree with me that where a man's money stops, that is where another begins. Our popular artiste Davido said to be among the top entertainer in Nigeria with a networth of $18million, looks at another supperstar Mayweather whose wristwatch is $18million. Will he (Davido) say he  has achieved success?
Again our contemporary society prides us around of our every little achievement, and when we find ourselves in a dominant position we easily concur with them and let pride in. This is when our minds decives us into calling oneself a successful man. Not knowing that no man is ever successful until he carries his success to his grave in peace. Permit me to quote an Extract from a speech delivered by Prof. Patrick L.O. Lumumba at Saint Paul’s University in Kenya, April, 2015. "none can be called successful until the day that he or she dies and carries his success to the grave in peace. As long as we are alive, any claim that we are successful is not only arrogant but misguided. For the moment, what we appear to be doing, is that we are on the right path and what you should do is to pray that we should continue to be on that path. History has demonstrated times without number that men whom we thought to be successful betray you at the eleventh hour.”
If u haven't understood the context of my text so far. I will like to take you back in time to the accent Greek, when the oracle choose Socrates as the wisest man, not because of any Noble great deeds, even though greeks were known for great deeds, he was choosen by the oracle to be the wisest man because he stood out with a distingusing statement " I know nothing, that the only thing I know is that I know nothing" the statement not only show an act of overwhelming humility but a thirst for more knowledge.
Humility and a thirst for more sucess should be the very basis of our human existance cause we a yet to accomplish anything before our death. So our deaths should worth more than our lives. Be humble to death.
