BBNaija LOCKDOWN WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS WEEK 4. (DAY 21 - DAY 27)

THE BIG BROTHER NAIJA. WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS (WEEK 4).

DAY 21 SUNDAY (AUGUST 09, 2020)

yet another eviction Sunday in Big brother Naija house and we would be starting the highlight for this week (week 4) with a little bit of what happened last night.
Last night was turnout with DJ Consequence and LadiPoe giving us hits back to back and of course, being a Johnnie Walker event, the Housemates had booze for days. While some were able to put their alcohol intake in check, others… well, let’s just say had too much to drink. On this table sat Erica as she started displaying signs of being drunk and she went to meet Laycon at the party – hugging, dancing and holding on to him. Feeling tipsey, they both shared some intimate moments and dances on the dance floor.

Naturally, after the party, all Big Brother Housemates either went to bed or to get stuffed with more food them like food chai. While Erica went to bed with the help of some of the Housemates including Dorathy, Lucy, Laycon and Tolanibaj, Laycon had a chat later with Praise.

According to Laycon, Erica was trying to kiss him at the party and saying things about trying to avoid Kiddwaya in her drunken state to avoid doing things she’ll regret doing on television, we would say that Laycon was a gent. While making his point, Laycon kept stressing on the fact that Erica should sleep in his room so he can keep an eye on her, maybe even sleep on Kaisha’s bed instead. As per protector😒 “She has a man, stop involving yourself in all this,” Praise responded as Laycon still looked concerned for Erica.

Fast forward to Sunday😍! We all know what that means. Yes Evictions, but we are also talking about hair day! People the world over, view Sunday as self-love and self-care day, why should it be any different in the House? Week after week we have been wowed by the Housemates as they help each other make pretty every Sunday for one last pamper session before the evening. Thanks to Darling, the Housemates have a decked-out hair salon that caters to their every need from braids to extensions, to clippers and product, what more can they need? i wonder oohh😪

Every Sunday night the world comes to a standstill as Big Brother Naija broadcasts its Live Eviction Show and this week was placed in memories to remember😎. As usual, the show started with with our show host - Ebuka dressed to impress in dark green Agbada😍 accented with dark shining stones and a large black bow. By his side was DJ Neptune who also got the attire memo and was in a beautiful dark Agbda, i wonder how he was able to  provide us the musical moments that make memories while inside Agbada😂.

The Eviction format was same with last week as spectators  Votes were tallied from Monday to Thursday and the four Big brother Housemates with least Votes all stand for eviction. After the introduction was completed Ebuka crossed into Biggie’s House to catch up with the Housemates. Ozo shared that his birthday celebrations were great even though he got into a fight this week. Dorathy let it be known that she has never told anyone that she is attracted to Ozo😎. Brighto disputed this and said that Dorathy was obviously into Ozo, but Ozo's preference leans towards Nengi. Nengi shared with Ebuka that as far as the triangle was concerned, she was not leading Ozo on, and said they are only good friends. shay u dey hear tori.

The conversation then turned to the Eviction matter at hand, and Ebuka announced that Trikytee, Eric, Kaisha, and Tochi were the four who stood the chance of getting the eviction call. We then got a glimpse of Housemates Voting for the two Housemates who they felt should go home when Dorathy, without hesitation, chose Tochi and Eric. Her sentiment was echoed by Tolanibaj who also chose the same two to leave. is it not coincidence?

Then came the moment of truth when Ebuka crossed back to the House and let us know that Eric had been selected by the Housemates as the third Evicted Housemate. After a dismal goodbye and a few embraces, he left to join Ebuka on stage for an interview.😭.

In his chat with Ebuka came, Eric shared that's he's looking forward to the idea of being able to see Lilo again. this made us wonder, is that why Eric was so dull and quiet last week?😩. He also admitted that he had been distracted in Biggie's House. For his future plans, Eric said that he would be back to working out hard, and planned to continue his modeling and hopefully venture into acting.
It was then Tochi's turn to talk to Ebuka who let it be known that he feels disappointed at being Evicted so early. He also said that property and acting would be his focus after leaving Biggie's House.

you will agree with me that big brother nija is no fun without fight from the housemates. So Later that night we experinced the epic  fight worth remembering between Lucy and Nangi 😋.
After the Double Eviction Live Show where Eric and Tochi left Biggie's House, a major fight erupted between Lucy and Nengi. The argument began while Lucy was in the bathroom and eventually over to nearly every corner of the Big Brother Naija House. At one point Lucy told Nengi that "without a man, you cannot do anything," chai😱 Nengi fought back, telling Lucy to "shut up your mouth."
Vee felt compelled to separate the pair of fighting ladies and Trikytee assisted her by getting Nengi to move into a separate room. This didn't stop the screaming match and the ladies continued to shout at each other from a distance. The offensive insults continued with Nengi telling Lucy that she's an "old woman." Lucy was far from done fighting and replied to Nengi saying "I'm 30 and look better than you!"This led Vee to intensify her peacekeeping efforts and try to calm each lady separately, but this didn't achieve the desired result. The skirmish continued as the ladies moved around the House while hurling insults at each other. women fight self, no blows sha na only mouth them get but we still had fun sha.😂

This led the reigning HoH, and regular Big Brother peacemaker, Ozo to intervene and even his calming words couldn't soothe the rage streaming from Nengi.e pepper Nangi eehh. Lucy continued to belittle Nengi telling her that "whatever a man says, you say yes." Nengi refused to take this lying down and shouted "if she wants to behave like a child, I'll treat her as one." but they later calmed down sha.

DAY 22 MONDAY (10 AUGUST 2020)

Monday is here again oohh, Given that last week, the Housemates were quite shaken by their fellow Housemates leaving and were still reeling by the time Monday came, this week was very different. This week, the Housemates started off with a high energy workout which got them amped, wetin concern them kwa nu all na game😛, but also started the fun. Tolanibaj started the dance session in the Arena.

We know that there are the Housemates who are literally working on their fitness. You can usually find them running laps around the Arena, doing push-ups and sit-ups on the mats, pushing their bodies physically to build muscles and strength. Usually, you find Praise, Prince, Kiddwaya and Ozo in these positions, switching up between cardio and bodyweight like it's nothing. Today was no different, we watched as the gents pushed and sweat making sure their strength is up, led mostly by Praise and Prince. Today they were joined by Trikytee and Brighto who seemed to be keeping up quite well through the morning, even when Prince proposed a push-up patter that they all knew they would find difficult.

This morning the Housemates were in good spirits, all showing up for their workout and straight after, getting into cleaning their place of residence. The mood was so light that the dance moves flowed very easily through the morning. When we talk about dancing we know that the House is full of people who love to bust a move the minute Biggie allows the beat to drop. From celebrating Wager wins and getting the party started on a Saturday night, to when the Housemates are cleaning and doing their chores.😔

Every week the Housemates get a new wager, we have followed through the last three weeks and witnessed their great celebration and successes as well as their low lows. Each week we follow our faves as they navigate the world of performing to Biggie to get prizes and pamper sessions.
Highlighting this week  wager the Housemates have been Tasked with presentations that will not only show how much they know about the country but also how much they know about gender based violence (GBV), which is not only topical but very serious the world over. The task is two-fold: Part one is to create and present fun facts on Nigeria. Part two is to create a 'No means no' Campaign that will be presented as the Housemates see fit.

The big brother nija housemares need not to be reminded of the importance of winning Head of House, cause is still fresh in the Housemates minds as their focus became winning the Betway Head of House Games and securing the immunity from Eviction that goes along with it😋. The Big Brother Naija Housemates settled in for their third try at the game. The game was the usual board based affair that had been spiced up with new side games. The rules were as follows:

A six must be rolled to start the game.
The player who makes it to Step 30, or as close as possible by the end of their time, is the Head of House.
In the event of a tie, a bonus round will be played by the players who are tied.
Each player would only be given One minute and ten seconds for their turn.
Game over: If a player lands on Step 20, their game would end immediately.
Restart: If a player lands on Step 7, then she or he would have to restart their game.
The Challenge

Each week Biggie spices up the Head of House Task with extra obstacles for the player to do during their turn. The four new obstacles added this week were as follows:

Balloon: The players had to untie and deflate a balloon without popping it to spin again: This obstacle was placed on Step 4.
Self-portrait: The players had to draw a picture of themselves to progress to spin again. This obstacle was placed on Step 1.
Ping-Pong: The players had to place a ping pong ball into an egg tray using only a plastic fork to spin again. This obstacle was placed on Step 9.
The Hoop: The players must throw a ball through a hoop to spin again. This obstacle was placed on Step 25.

The game seemed to be heading for a tie breaker round until Erica stepped up to play, and managed to have a truly marvellous run making it to position 29. Upon completing her turn, Biggie informed her that she had made an error in her addition, and had actually scored 30, giving her the Head of House position. Nobody managed to equal her fantastic play and at the end, Erica was crowned the new Head of House.💗😍
No doubt. Erica choose Kiddwaya as the deputy head of the house despite the fact that she is mentally attracted to Laycon. e be things 🤣

In today’s Diary Room Session the Housemates shared so much information that it had viewers hanging on the edge of their couch the whole time. The Housemates let it be known who they voted for during the Live Show and why in this informative session. Lets take some of the highlight from some of the housemates.😈😉

Ozo
After telling Biggie that his mood is okay, Ozo said that his reason for voting for Kaisha and Tochi to be Evicted is that he feels he has a better relationship with Eric and Trikytee.

Dorathy
Dorathy told Biggie that she feels better about putting people up for Eviction this time round. Dorathy said that she Voted for Tochi and Eric. The reason for voting Tochi out was that she was not that close to him. Dorathy added that everyone has Eric’s back, and she wanted to look out for Kaisha.

Trikytee
Trikytee told Biggie that he is the happiest person alive right now because he is relieved to be in the House and believes he was saved due to his demeanor and his general personality. He added that he now "knows the value of every single hour in the House.😈"

Kaisha
Kaisha said that she is happy to still be in the House, and she didn't think that the Housemates loved her this much. She still admitted to being in her shell. Kaisha also told Biggie that she was there to win, make money, gain exposure for her business, and have fun.

Kiddwaya
Kiddwaya said he was relieved to have been through the Eviction process. He shared that he voted for Eric for Eviction because he was still in his shell and had not come out. His second Eviction Vote went to Kaisha because she had the least to offer in terms of the group. Kiddwaya also said that Trikytee and Tochi are his boys and he wanted them to stay. He added that he misses Tochi as they were roommates and not having him around was depressing.

Tolanibaj
Tolanibaj shared with Big Brother that she Voted for Eric and Tochi because the other two Housemates deserved to stay more. Tolanibaj started crying because she is sad that they left and will miss their presence in the House.

Neo
Neo said that he is happy he is still here. He told Biggie that he voted for Kaisha and Tochi and was close to Tochi. Neo also said that he and Kaisha had fall-ins and fall-outs in the past.

Nengi
Nengi pulled no punches in her Diary Room Session and told Biggie that she Voted for Eric because everybody was cool with him, and Kaisha because she acts weird sometimes. She was sad that Tochi left because he always used to wake her up.

Praise
During his session Praise said that he voted for Tochi and Eric. It was the first time he voted and this was not easy for him at all. His reasoning for Voting Tochi out was that he felt Trikytee has more to offer. Trikytee also helps a lot with Tasks due to his experience and Praise thinks this is more valuable. His reason for voting Eric out was that he felt that Kaisha was very special in the sense that she is sweet and sour at the same time. He Elaborated on Kaisha saying that he needs to know about her and the more she can offer.

Lucy
After sharing that her mood is a bit down after her situation yesterday, she told Biggie that she is still enjoying every moment. She said that her reason for Voting for Tochi and Kaisha was that the two can be done away. Lucy felt that the other Housemates still bring something to the table.

Brighto
After telling Biggie that he was feeling okay he opened up about why his eviction votes went to Eric and Trikytee. Brighto's reasoning was that he thought that Kaisha and Tochi still needed more time to get out of their shells and express themselves.

Once again the Diary Room laid bare the truths that the Housemates fear to share to everyone, and sometimes themselves.

DAY 23  TUESDAY (AUGUST 11, 2020)

Weekly highlight week 4  in the bbnija lockdown.

Today the Housemates performed two Tasks as part of their Guinness Smooth Task.

As you may have read earlier, the Blue Team was Team Barley and it consisted of members: Lucy, Erica, Kiddwaya, Brighto, Trikytee, Vee, Laycon and Kaisha.

While the Black Team was Team Hops and consisted of members: Praise, Dorathy, Ozo, Neo, Wathoni, Tolanibaj, Prince and Nengi.

The second Guinness Task was the Guinness Smooth Hunt which consisted of five Tasks that the Housemates had to complete for a total of 100 points.

The Task

After taking a few minutes for familiarise themselves with their surroundings, the teams were introduced to the five games they would be participating in during the Task. Each game was worth 20 points equally and only certain Team members would be participating at any given time. The instructions for each game were written on the boards next to the games in order for the Housemates to follow as they were selected to participate. To avoid see finish😂

Ozo and Kiddwaya represented their teams to face-off in the Foosball Challenge. The game was short and intense and was over almost instantly. Though the two Housemates seemed equally matched, there is always one Winner in a one-on-one game. Kiddwaya took one up on Ozo in a 2 -1 score, declaring a 20 point Win for Team Barley in the very first Challenge
the challenge, Head of House, Erica took Praise on in a challenge to stack as many cups as possible on top of one another and secure a win for their Team. Though Erica was a worthy opponent, Praise stacked more cups and took the 20 points for Team Hops.

This evening was a grand evening of Wins, but as you know, there is every type of situation in Biggies House, and though the Housemates did well, there was still a little wahala.

The Housemates had a fantastic time during their Wager earlier this evening, highlights of the game😀 apart from very few issues. Biggie had to put some in their place by dishing out warnings and reminding them of rules, while Housemates completed their Challenges. In the midst of all this though, while Vee was blindfolded and kicking the ball to the net, some Housemates laughed and she did not take it lightly.
Laycon continuously kept Vee motivated as he whispered "You're the best" over and over. Still, she needed to concentrate and requested the Housemates to give her a chance when she remarked, "I need silence. Do not say a freaking word."😅 They did not stop, however, and the commentary got slightly louder until someone laughed. Vee managed to finish her turn and immediately after, shouted "Whoever was laughing in that group, I swear to God, do not speak to me ever again!" adding "Do you know how disheartening that thing was?!" as she was carried off by her teammates. Vee burst into tears from the situation as she was calmed by her team.

It was not over yet, immediately after that, the two began again, Neo confirming that he wished he had a better Team, and Vee continuing to talk about Dorathy and offering the opinion that Dorathy picked on Brighto and Nengi, and now wants to pick on her. Vee ended the conversation by saying that she cannot be picked on because she has the same character as Dora.

After their week days Tasks were done and they got ready for the evening, catching up with each other and playing games, as well as making small talk. Two clashes that startled the Housemates, however: One was between Vee and Dorathy, while the other was between Lucy and Erica.

The night ended before the ladies made peace, but tomorrow is another day in Biggie's House.

DAY 25 WENSDAY (AUGUST 12, 2020)

After the work out session, drama kept on unfolding as to the issue of the house chore.
This morning, Praise and Lucy had a little argument or should we say shouting conquest in the kitchen over cleaning duties. While Lucy maintained that the House hadn’t been mopped in days, Praise kept defending himself saying it’ll be done. At that moment, he was just trying to get his breakfast ready, so cleaning can come later. Belle must chop first now abi?😅😆

The days  challenge was the oppo game challenge.

Today’s Task had the BBnija Lockdown Housemates playing the game of musical chairs, courtesy of Oppo Nigeria.

First, Oppo Nigeria had them kitted fully for the Task ahead and you can always trust your Lockdown Housemates to put their swag into any merchandise and give us some fire looks.😎

After the Task brief was read by Erica, the Housemates were instructed by Biggie to go into the Arena for the first phase of the Oppo Challenge – the musical chairs game. This first activity in the Arena was played to determine the teammates for the main Oppo Challenge by playing the game of musical chairs.

As you know, the game of musical chairs is played by walking around chairs to music and when the music is turned off, the players find a chair to sit down on. e shock you abi? the game that we use to play in children party when we small 😂😈

All Housemates were required to split into two groups of eight males and eight females in each group. There were seven chairs carefully arranged in the Arena. Once the song started playing, the female group began the game by dancing around the chairs. When the song stopped, the Housemate without a chair automatically became number one and was required to sit on the bench.

Again, the music then played and the remaining seven Housemates danced around the chairs until the music stopped. The Housemate still standing became number two and sat on the bench. This went on until all the Housemates in group one had their numbers. Once group one was done, the seven chairs were reset to the original position and it was the turn of the male group to play. Then this went on until all members of the group had a number.
After the oppo game we  had to watch on as cliques and more family bonds keeps connecting. The night ended with the bants and exposition of secrets by the House mates.

DAY 25 THURSDAY ( AUGUST, 12 2020)
 All about the core
The Housemates went in, serving core workouts to envy!

We have grown accustomed to the morning workout routines where the Housemates switch it up and work on their fitness. From the different crews who work the floor for their cores to the crews that dance their way through time. From those who come through for a morning chat and a catch up to those who sit quietly on the sidelines, the Housemates wake up every day knowing that the very first task is to work out.
Couple Goals

Though many were on the mats this morning, we could not help but notice that Prince and Tolanibaj were on their own steez, working on their own fitness. The two were seen running around the arena for their warm-up before they hit the mats to work their core fitness. We all know the core needs to be stable for the rest of the body to be stable, and perhaps this is the metaphor for the ship as it may be picking up steam. We checked what you had to say:

Dance crew

What is a workout in the House without the traditional dance session? Today our dance crew was none other than Praise and Kaisha, who shared a brief moment together as they moved from side to side. letting off the last of the endorphins.

Towards the end of the workout session, it was clear that people were tired, even Kiddwaya who usually goes hard to the end was catching up with Trikytee and Laycon waiting for Biggie to tell them to get back into the House.

Exercise your power

The Big Brother Housemates finally got to put their preparations to the test and it didn't go as well as they had hoped.

The Big Brother Naija Housemates spent the majority of their free time this week preparing for their Wager Challenge by practising their "No Means No" play and cramming their fun facts about Nigeria. Tonight was the moment of truth as the Housemates got to see if all their practice was time well spent, or wasted.

Part one: The Quiz
The first part of the Wager Challenge was a quiz on fun Nigerian history facts. After being summoned to the Arena by Biggie, the Housemates were instructed to divide themselves into a Black Team, and a White Team, with equal numbers of males and females in each team. After fumbling through the selection process, Biggie informed them that he would be choosing the teams for them, as they took too long to decide. The team's Biggie selections were as

This was the part of the day that Vee was correct to be being anxious about because once they had completed the performance, Biggie asked ominously: "Is that all?" Though the presentation was poignant, the Housemates fell far short of the allotted time for the performance. Kiddwaya attempted to soothe Biggie by explaining that the majority of messages that he had seen on the subject matter were concise like their effort. This was the reason that their presentation was succinct but still managed to highlight many varied instances of gender-based violence

DAY 26 FRIDAY (AUGUST 13 2020)
Thank God is Friday and the weekly highlight on bbnija lockdown. threw in alot of goodies of entertainment for us.
As a usual tradition every Friday, today was no different as the virtual Friday vibes in the House lasted for a few hours and some of your Lockdown faves were in the building. Biggie must have had enough of the Housemates sleeping in his House all day, so he gave his guests a music treat which got them in a lively mood, and even the viewers were not left out in today’s groove.TGIF!

When it comes to pulling off a Friday vibe, the Lockdown Housemates are no strangers to the game. Just turn up the music and the geng sure know how to put on a show. Let’s take a look at all the times they made us miss partying and grooving today.

The usual suspects

Immediately Biggie’s music came on, we had our Lockdown Saturday Night Party rockers show us how it’s done. Whenever Tolanibaj and Erica are gathered to the sound of music, be sure to take notes on a few dance lessons. Her kitchen and cleaning duties didn't stop Lucy from busting some moves

Housemates predict post-season events
We asked your faves to forecast what would have happened by the time they get out of the Lockdown House and we had some pretty interesting predictions…

There are some things in life that are just inexplicable. Like why humans laugh and cry, why time exists, the existence of the amazing suya and garri combination, the list goes on and on, but we’ll stop there. Then of course, there’s the current mystery: what next after the pandemic and so, we asked the Housemates to make predictions on what would have happened in the outside world when they’re done with the Lockdown journey.

Fame finders

As expected, the Big Brother Naija show gives the Housemates a platform to rising fame and open doors or opportunities. So, it was no surprise when these Housemates predicted having their names on the wall of fame after Lockdown.

From friendships being redefined to an alleged boy drama, the Lockdown Housemates gave us all shades of gbas-gbos last night in Biggie's House

Is it safe to say that every night in the Lockdown House has been a hit back to back and with these Housemates, there’s never a dull moment at night? We’re not sure if it’s the introduction of booze in their system or the fact that the Housemates are super excited about the party tomorrow night, but the Lockdown geng do not fail to have a fun night in Biggie’s House. Well, like they say, it's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt...

These Housemates can eat sha!😁

This week’s Friday Night Arena Games featured many foodstuffs in Biggie’s Arena like peppers, tomatoes, plantains, potatoes, and vegetables. We all know these Housemates can eat a mountain at any given time of the day but what we didn’t expect is that they will carry their foodie spirit into the Friday Games Night. As soon as Biggie announced that they go back into the House, the Housemates started stashing some of the food items to carry back into the House. Yes, we’re judging you Tolanibaj and Erica! can u imagine our HOH oohh😈

Trust Biggie to catch his resident bandits and he left the Arena doors locked until the Housemates dropped all that they attempted to take away. Is there no limit to ‘chop chop’?

DAY 27 SATURDAY (AUGUST 14 2020).

Finally on the weekly highlight, The Big Brother Naija Housemates turned around their fortunes and won wonderfully during their travel based Task.

The teams were given a crossword puzzle board, loose letters, and clues to fill the crossword puzzle. The blank spaces on the puzzle to be filled were 22 cities and st beates in Nigeria so the team with the greatest grasp of local geography was destined to be the winner. That team was Calabar Carnival who completed it way before the one hour of the allotted time.

Part two: The Commercial
This part of the task was all about exercising the Housemates creativity. The teams had to create a commercial for Travelbeta which was at least five minutes long and showcased all the services Travelbeta provides creatively and colorfully. This part of the task was convincingly won by team Abuja.
The prizes
For all their excellent efforts the two winning teams were each awarded One Million Naira to share. To thank the teams for their added creativity and sublime performances an extra prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to Abuja was added.

shay una know weti n tomorrow be na, eviction sunday 😅😆. To rid the House of the negative vibes, the Lockdown Geng have turned to dance to usher in a bit of good energy.

Way too much has been going on and the House was almost turned inside out by the Lockdown Geng but all seems calm now thanks to cool heads and a brief dance session to liven the mood.

Working up a mood for tonight

In the past 24 hours, life in the House has been heated. The positive energy the Lockdown Housemates are usually known for has taken a hit. Fights and intense battle of words have unsettled the relative calm the House has been experiencing for a bit. From Erica and Wathoni , Nengi and Kaisha and Dorathy's back and forth with Ozo, it’s been nothing but heated confrontations. No one likes altercations, but there seems to be a bit of pent up anger and keeping it tightly sealed has gotten harder. With the Saturday Night Party approaching, the Lockdown House needs all the positive energy it can get in order to keep the mood interesting and the groove just right for the Party. The Travelbeta Challenge seems to have broken the ice and lightened the mood. The quick dance session also helped out as the Housemates danced away the sullen vibes, but still, the cold war can still be noticed as warring parties kept their distance. Hopefully, everything changes later tonight.

Dance like no tomorrow

Of course, there is a tomorrow and tomorrow comes with Eviction but for today, the Housemates will dance till they drop. As the Saturday Night Party draws near the Housemates have already picked up their dancing shoes and started vibrating to their favourite old Naija hits. It’s almost like Biggie paid attention while they sang their favourite old songs yesterday and decided to turn things up by playing the songs for them. As expected, the Housemates let down their guards and all the pent up anger and vibed to the groove.
The end of a Saturday Night Party usually comes with a mix of lit vibes and anxiety as the day of Eviction draws closer. While we wait to see how they handle these emotions, we better grab some popcorn for some after-party drama tonight!

at this point we have to cross our hands and see what is stock for tomorrow and who is leaving the house. lets look forward to hearing😒 Ebuka's voice.
