The academic staffs union of polytechnics have suspended their ongoing industrial action which lasted for a period of 3months. During which all polytechnic under the union was shut down completely.
Federal polytechnic oko happens to be one of the union members and strictly kept to the dictates of the union. Though it is dis heartening that the final year students in both HND and ND are yet to be dismissed, and yet new admission of students was accommodated.
But let the good news be spread as ASUP finally gives three months grace to allow the federal government to complete their demands, to which they will go on strike again. Though federal government have met some of their needs, but not all.
The strike suspension will commence tomorrow 10th of June according to the directory of the NEC meeting. Concluded today.
This will give schools such as federal polythenic oko to complete their exams and graduate due students.
In view of this, students are directed to come back on or before Sunday 13 June as revision, quiz and exams follows suit. This will be communicated to the students of okopoly with the official memo.
Safe trip as you return to your various travels.
