Lecture Hall Turned TikTok Studio: The Oko Polytechnic Incident

A recent incident at Federal Polytechnic Oko has left many in the academic community stunned. A female student, identified as an HND1 student in the Department of Public Administration, was caught on camera recording TikTok videos during an ongoing lecture.

The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the student seemingly oblivious to the lecture, instead focused on capturing the perfect TikTok clip. What's even more surprising is that the lecturer didn't catch her in the act, and the student was able to continue recording without any interruption.

The incident has sparked a debate about the use of social media in classrooms and the importance of staying focused during lectures. While some have criticized the student for being distracted and disrespectful, others have defended her right to express herself and have fun.

What do you think? Should students be allowed to use their phones during lectures? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
